The atmosphere was great. There was a diverse crowd, and the wait staff was friendly and responsive. The Downtown Fries with egg and steak and Cobb salad were great. The mixed drinks were terrible (Hurricane and Margarita). They were almost not drinkable (strong, with almost no flavor, very watered down). The oysters were salty but good. The fries were great! The food was way better than the drinks, which was not expected, since it's a bar.

Wow! What a nice place right by the Riverwalk! A jumping happy hour with a nice atmosphere, food and drinks! If in San Antonio it's great place to visit! The happy hour oysters and martinis, the Po Boys, and burgers!

I absolutely love old school looking bars. This place didn't let me down. The staff actually seemed to be enjoying themselves at work. Which was busy at times. The bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable. The food took a minute but was delicious. Secretly and selfishly don't want to tell anyone about this chill spot but can't help it. Love it here!

Double Standard provides a place for well crafted cocktails with tremendous service. The bar is very attentive and professional and I recommend it to anyone in the Downtown area to give it a go. Definitely will come back and try the entrees as they look delicious!

This is a pretty good spot, a little on the noisy side, so if you're trying for conversation, you'll need to speak up. The bartender John was great, very knowledgeable about his craft and the bar offerings and did a great job on the drinks. If you're looking for unique liquor choices, stop in. I have been looking for my favorite Martinique rum since I left Key West, and they had a few choices, I'll be back for that alone. The food was pretty good, the fries were very crispy abd disappeared quickly. The house made burger was awesome, I'll be back!

What a peculiar place that had me coming back for more. When ordering a large beer, expect to get an arm workout, it's 32oz! They had some semi rare rum which is hard to find a lot of places. The staff was very knowledgeable overall, showed passion in what they did and the pricing is quite reasonable in the grand scope of things. Only food I tried were the fries which were delicious. Manhattan was very well made off the cocktail menu. Gets extremely busy later in the work week.

Great bartenders and even better drinks, with a large selection of spirits. Not a lot of beer to choose from but if you're in the mood for some tasty drinks and small bites this is an easy recommendation
